A three stage GitLab CI/CD pipeline for a Eurosystem grade financial platform serving major European institutions. Delivered within an in house platform team. Client details generalised under NDA.

The problem

Releases were manual and ordered by memory. Artifacts were not consistently versioned, secrets sat in CI job variables, and the audit trail was ticket comments and recollection. Where downtime is a reportable regulatory event, that is a risk.

What I built

Build, test and deploy stages with an approval gate before production. Immutable versioned artifacts promoted between environments rather than rebuilt. Automated rollback wired to failure conditions. Jenkins jobs consolidated into the pipeline, secrets moved into managed storage.
